Biography
Born in Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1955 after an illustrious Italian family, Margherita Agnelli de Pahlen is an internationally renowned artist who lives on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, she studied art in Rome in the Ernst workshop Kronberg and her first steps in religious art at the Saint Sergius Institute in Paris before specializing in Eastern iconography following learning Father George Drobot.
Since paint icons is usually exclusively reserved for monks art, she was able to receive training in this demanding school where painting is considered a spiritual gift.
Between 1993 and 1994, she created, in collaboration with the Father Stamatis SKLIRIS an icon of Christ on the cross. Later, she realizes large murals in the chapel of ownership of Caracciolo, Garavicchio in Tuscany. After a break of three years, during which she intensified her knowledge of Russian culture and the Russian Orthodox icon, she published a book of poetry, "Cenere ". The artistic work of Margherita Agnelli is varied and complex. She is an accomplished painter who offer through these different art forms to enter his shimmering, poetic universe. These works have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Paris,Turin, St Petersburg , Florence, Venice, Moscow and Geneva.
